EMC-coatings are first of all used with electronic devices (computers with their peripheral devices, medical and technical apparatuses, measuring and control technology etc.
Untreated plastic housings offer only little or no protection against EMI (electromagnetic interference) and ESD (electrostatic discharge)
By applying conductive surface coatings, a complete electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) can be achieved. These antistatic layers are first of all used with electronic devices
(computers with their peripheral devices, medical and technical apparatuses, measuring and control technology etc.). EMC-coatings are normally low-resistance conductive and thus differ from high-resistance ESD-coatings.
The products used can be based on copper, nickel, graphite or
silver. We preferably use an UL-listed EMC-conductive lacquer on copper basis which has very good dampening properties and guarantees good electromagnetic absorption over a wide frequency range.
